Best place for cheap $50/$100 sets in San Jose?

or post on here where you will be and time , and that you will play anyone who shows up a minimum of a certain amount of sets.
and any conditons you are going to stipulate like a certain fargo speed.

most pool rooms are not full of players anymore sitting around waiting for action or hanging out. they are playing on their phones games or surfing the net.

for 50 bucks few are going to travel to find you and you end up telling them they are too good and not playing.

Try California Billiards in Fremont……nice pool room.

I’d probably say Jimmy’s for San Jose, or drive up to California Billiards.
I forgot about Jimmy's. That room used to be Edgie's, but all the tables are new. Also five heated carom tables. It's about 20 minutes south of California Billiards.

was a great place for billiards. so many players. all tables full and pool tables empty.
is in milpitas.

first time there i saw bob for the first time. he said, "oh look we got a new billiard player". i was going to ask someone to play for something decent but i noticed everyone was better than me. so i hit the pool balls around soon after.

Yeah, that's makes sense. I was supposed to be getting email notifications about responses to this thread but never got any, just checked back now.
642 Fargo, plans have probably changed and not sure if we're going to make it that far west. May end up going to Hard Times. Tons of action there.

another good way is to call the houseman and tell him when you are coming and about how well you play and generally he will set you up.

ive done that and it works. even when you are there and likely a stranger wont play you if you ask. but the houseman calls him over an says hey this guy plays around your speed and wants a game. kind of breaks the ice and makes you not look like you are trying to beat someone out of their money.
and this way its less likely they will call the best guy in town to take you off. which is what happens if you walk in and say you want some action.
