Hey, I was just wondering what everyone thinks on this topic... I live in Chicago and we have some pretty nice rooms here. The original Chris' Billiards (Milw. Ave) is a classic for the real players... G-Cue and City Pool Hall are good rooms with good food... Pro-Tyme Billiards in Orland Park (nice new room)... The Green Room in Downers Grove is nice when the A/C is working...
There are some other real nice rooms in Chicago I have never been to as well...

Some of my Favorite Rooms outside Chicago are Hawaiian Brians in Honolulu... South Philly Billiards (if its still there) in Philadelphia... Gas Lamp Billiard Palace in San Diego is nice too...

Rate your top 3 rooms... Heres mine

1. Chris' Billiards - Chicago (Old School)
2. Hawaiian Brians - Honolulu
3. South Philly Billiards - Philadelphia (another players room)

My two favorites were:

North Hollywood Billiards on Magnolia, North Hollywood CA, when Tip was Owner & still running the place.

Bakers Billiards on Hollywood Way in Burbank, CA Believe it was CLOSED YEARS AGO.

Both of these place were REAL Billiards Places, No Darts, No big Screens, Just room with Table, and Many GREAT Player to watch. ;)

Me, I'm limited in rooms (don't travel).

#1 World Class In Peabody MA It really feels like a pool hall, no TVs no one uses the jukebox, just pool (and 4 billiard tables :p )

#2 Country Club in Chelmseford MA, it's where I started to get the pool bug, but it's more of a Bosont Billiard type of place

#3 Maxamillians in Tyngsburo MA, I really had a lot of fun playing in there leagues when I was first starting to learn how to play

Hey Pete -

Been to World Class lately? Last time I was there it was loaded with TV's. They must have spent $15k on plasmas, smaller sets and a big rear projection set "downstairs." I wish they'd have put that money into the equipment!

Wow, I haven't been there since last Aug.That really stinks, I agree, they should have put money into the equipment.

Thanks for the heads up.

You really think of CC as a Boston Billiards type place, not an olde tyme pool hall, but not a night club either. Reflections is a night club, but I consider that a separate place.

Maxamillians can be fun at times, but it definitely is a night club atmosphere. The wait staff haven't a clue about pool etiquette and at least 50% of the players don't either. I play 2 leagues a week there and I'm ready to dynamite the jukebox. BTW, they're selling 5 of there tables to create a little Keano playing area, times are tough for pool.

Hey where you there about four or five months ago? I think we played a little nineball. Szuter thought it would be a fair game. I think you quit a couple games ahead to go watch Czetli and Corey lose their cabbage playing online poker. If that was you and you ever make it back to Ohio I would like to try you in a little one pocket.

I believe girlwon1 was there to watch me turn $200 into $3,300 in 15 min at partypoker.com, thank you. I also think Corey and I endend up $500 winners when we played together.

I've been to so many pool halls I lose track, but I like The Pool Room in Marietta and I think it's called Starcade or Starzone in Atlanta. Chattanooga Billiard Club in Tennessee was very nice. Good food, too - I may make a special trip just for their club sandwich!

I should change 1 to my favorite number instead of 4, but the 4 was what got me the cash a bunch of times in my $3,300 run. I havn't seen you in a while where have you been?

I have been running real well..The best I have ever played at NLHE 31 out of 32 sessions. Now my gf is sending me to games instead of keeping me home. she thinks a game = shopping spree. Thinking of going next weekend to Niagara to beat up on the teenaged world poker tour wannabes. You guys should try get out one of these weekends. By the way are you interested in playing either of the Brown brothers (Dave,Bass a.k.a Mike)? I promised I would ask.

Two that stand out for me are:
