NEW DEVELOPMENT

Greg/Diamond contacted me personally the other day to talk to me about Diamond tables. He read this post and wanted to give me his views on how his tables match up agains Brunswick. This impressed the hell out of me. A man who is so dedicated to the sport of pool, and believes so strongly in his product to call a customer personally. This will be updated as things progress, but I am going to put in a new Diamond Pro in our room very soon. Details coming up.......

They do things the way it ought to be done. Glad you made the decision to go with the table made by pool players for pool players. I sure love my Pro. I have no doubt it's the best table in the world.

Like any other pool table, I'm sure it takes a little getting used to. I'm a big fan of Diamond tables and recently started playing a few one pocket tournaments on them. To me, the pockets seem fine (I play on Diamond Pro 4.5") and the only thing people around here have complained about is how tight the pockets are... but maybe they are used to playing on looser equipment. The largest adjustment for me was actually the rails for banking. The rails bank a little easier and tighter for me. Sometimes this makes the table a little tougher because a ball hit down the rail rebounds a bit more and thus needs to be hit cleaner. After a while though, your game gets better and who can complain about that? :p
