I was introduced to templates with the plastic 'magic rack'. Then paper variants, and finally the AccuRack (Outsville). I have yet to see one that performs the task better and it's incredibly durable. Bought a replacement set after a year on the first set, out of convenience. Fast forward ~1.5yrs after that second purchase. I have yet to crack the seal on the replacements. Was just wondering if Outsville is the best template to throw in my case for anytime I'm at a bar with crappy racks?

Not even maybeAnyone else think the outsville rack causes more roll offs than magic if you can't get it up after the break?
Not sure about all templates. However I know the AccuRack suffers from inconsistent ball diameter, and will not overpower excessive cloth divots.I tried the Outsville accu rack first and couldn't get it to work at all. Balls kept moving out of place when trying to rack. Bought the Magic Rack, the balls just click into place easily-

Yes, bad templates do slip through but they also rack differently to. I have tried both the magic and outsville templates over a 2 year period and the accurack is better overall imo after hundreds of breaks between both. If you take it with you its much easier to roll/unroll, just keep it lightly rolled for storage. When practice I rarely took the magic rack of the table because it didn't effect balls to much. Accurack is a little bit thicker so it's more noticeable. The price for a outsville package (8,9,10,3ball,jump) is also reasonable. Trying to rack these like a magic rack is where people will sometimes run into issues. Wasn't designed to be used that way. There is a reason the 9 and 10 ball templates say "load eight and push" because that is how they lock up tight. Took me a couple months to figure that out, even while staring at the words "load 8 and push" over and over. After placing remaining ball/s just lightly tap around outside to check for gaps. Same concept with the 8 ball rack. Did not care for the turtle rack.I tried the Outsville accu rack first and couldn't get it to work at all. Balls kept moving out of place when trying to rack.
