Best Tip for a Break/Jump Cue?

I have a Poison VX 2.9 and the tip needs replacing very soon. The Phenolic Tip that came on it wasn't that great and couldn't hold chalk very well at all. What tip would people recommend for a replacement?

My local club has Moori Quick Tips in stock. I have a Moori medium on my play cue and am very happy with it. Is the quick good for breaking and jumping or should I go for something more specialist?

Finally got a Samsara break tip installed today. I had it installed on a random maple shaft which I use on a Mezz sneaky pete for breaking. It really combines the control of a leather tip and power of a phenolic tip. I love the Samsara tip.

I am wondering what is wrong with your phenolic tip (other than it is a phenolic tip). Mine doesn't hold chalk very well either, I kind of figured that was just a function of phenolic, since it is so hard. I don't think it will ever hold chalk like a leather tip.

Take some finer grained sand paper and VERY lightly rough up the surface of the phenolic tip. This should help it hold chalk better. Or invest in a cube of Kamui just for your break cue, it will go on like paint. I've also been using the new Predator chalk, it seems to go on (and stay on) a harder tip better than other chalk I've used.

Odega break tip

I got an ODEGA break tip installed by Jacoby...
Its THE DEAL...very similar to samsara

Samsara

Most people already said it but Samsara is the way to go. Have a cheap J&J J/B cue that I slapped one on. Breaks damn good and I'm sure jumps good as well......if I can ever figure it out.

Oh forgot to mention the tip itself holds chalk fairly well. Well, at least as good as it can considering it's a rock hard leather tip. Mine holds chalk better than the stock phenolic that came with it.
