Hit the cue ball lower...

...remembering that the "equator" and the miscue limit are tilted up like your cue.

Also, for best tip "grip", probably want to avoid the hardest tips, like phenolic.

look for a hybrid tip. I know the Navigator Break Impact tip is a phenolic infused leather tip. I break and jump well with it, but it also grips the cue ball well. I am sure there are others out there that are similar, but this is what I shoot with.

You can go back and watch Earl and Johnny A. jump with their full cues, and draw back table length with lepro tips.

In order to get draw action on a jump shot, the OB needs to land as close as possible to the object ball, it’ll be best to land in the ghost ball position.
It’s less back spin than what most people think
