Best way to hand clean Centennial balls?

I picked up an older set of Brunswick Centennial balls. They are in good shape, but have some slight discoloration, etc from the pool room environment.

What is the best way to get them back as close as possible to original, ie, a really good cleaning? This would be by hand...I don't have a machine, just plenty of time.

What solutions, techniques, etc.....
