Luca Brecel beat Michael Holt 10 - 9

If Brecel wins his next match against Mark King he will become the youngest player in Crucible history, and the first Belgian.

No play tomorrow - not because it is Friday the 13th - recovering the tables :D

Robert Milkins has made two 147s lifetime, both in the World Qualifiers, the first in 2006, and this one this year.

I watched the Brecel match and I sure like his game, but I don't think he's going to get past Mark King. He just makes too many errors.

My prediction: Luca Brecel sleeps with the fishes!

He has this habit of opening the reds off a a red and then finding himself with no colour.

Mark king vs. Luca Bresel is on now. 3-3 at the moment, Luca is real entertaining to watch, plays real well with both hands as well. He's been a well known phenomenon for a while now, but his game impresses me, possibly a new crowd favourite

King 3 - Brecel 3

Clive Everton just called Brecel "O'Sullivanesque" during a 94 break

http://www.hahasport.com/v-2/18/154/v-395498.html

Everton opines that Alex Pagulayan wouldn't make much of an impact if he shows up to play next season.

Well kudos to Hearn for giving him the wild card though, just as I suggested he might, by the way. However I think once he gets used to the British conditions he will do well. There's certainly nothing about the game he should find that difficult, and he has a lot of star power.

Now getting used to the food, that might be a little harder

Anyways, I hope he shows up. It will be fun to watch and see how it develops.

He has? I've never heard of him.

Won the 2011 Canadian Snooker Championship at the Canadian Cue Sports Championships
He also played 8-ball 9-ball and 10-ball.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Pagulayan
"helped his Philippines team to win the Snooker Gold Medal at the 2005 SEA Games (held in Manila, Philippines) with team-mates Joven Alba and Leonardo Andam. After the team's 3–2 win against Thailand at the Makati Coliseum, Pagulayan emerged as a triple Gold Medalist."

So much for American opinion that pool and snooker are incompatible. :D

Clearly, but your ignorance on all things cue sport is well documented. You are the guy , after all, who thinks rolling a cueball three inches is difficult and that Neil Robertson is a slow player.

Those of us who are well-informed know about Alex's prowess very well, though, as clearly evidenced by Hearn allocating the wild card. Hang in there though, you'll eventually learn some stuff.

I thought we were still discussing Brecel, obviously, but even if not, I'd rate Pagulayan's "star power" as pretty much zero in snooker circles anyway. Star power

Neil Robertson's slow play/gamesmanship is well documented. Absolutely no need to clarify that one. I suggest you listen to the likes of Mark Allen and Judd Trump, amongst others.

Perhaps you'd like to do those 1000 3 inch roll-ups, tight behind the object ball each time, and put it on youtube to show us all how easy it is. Get on with it, and make sure it's in match play conditions as well.

There's a difference between 'difficult' and 'tricky'. Learn it.
