Lying by saying good luck before a game is not the best way to start out. What are some other things to say before a game? Always thought it was kind of awkward to say, especially when your the favorite

I always say "good luck," and I mean it, for both of us. Let's have some fun, play some pool, and let's see some crazy rolls both ways.

My (long ago) ex would refuse to say that. She'd say "Play well" with a straight face, offer a cold-dead-fish handshake, then proceed to kick your ass.

We never did get along...

I say it, and mean it. I also mean it for myself as well. I mean to get up there and kick the crap out of my opponent, hopefully never giving him/her a shot, but with that said, if I make it easy for my opponent, I want them to kick my butt but good. It will drive me to become better and hopefully make fewer mistakes. Yeah, I know kinda strange.

I like to see the best game from my opponent but i don't want them to to get lucky either.

I always say shoot well....

Personally I would rather lose to somebody who just runs out on me all day long than someone who accidentally safes and 4 rails balls into the pocket.

This times a million.

Nothing is worse than watching your opponent get lucky, over and over.

I just nod and shake their hand. Pool is a mental game, I like to stay mental :speechless:

'round here it's, "Good Game". Not, "Have a good game", just a grunt really. We're cow-folk; we don't need dem der high-falutin' talkins'.
