Beware, flying with cue(s)? Watch out for TSA!

Your not going to believe this:

I just had a customer who said that TSA confiscated her husbands cue while it was in "checked" baggage.

Apparently he flew somewhere and took his cue with him to play. His wife picked him up at the airport with his luggage and pool case with cue inside. He noticed the case felt a little light but didn't think about it until he broke it open that night to play. Inside was a stick saying that the contents had been confiscated by the TSA!!

I sent them an e-mail back asking if they've talked to TSA and what their explanation was, haven't heard anything back yet.
 
Whoa, that would be a shocker. Getting confiscated from checked baggage no less. I don't think ivory would be a problem but you never know what these morons look for these days.

They are making it nearly impossible to fly with a cue it seems -- at least if you care about your cue.
 
At the rates airlines charge for checked baggage, it'd probably be cheaper to ship it anyways!
