Beware JayTS!

JayTS has made good on the reimbursement at this time. I really regret that it had to come to this thread, and I hope that he can get all his money back if the stories he has told are true. I have no ill will towards him. I would like to thank the azbilliards community for your advice and support in this matter, and no further action should be necessary at this point.

I purchased a cue, 2 shafts, and a case from JayTS on the Sunday before Christmas. After waiting 2 weeks, I thought that I should contact him and try to see what was going on. He gave me a story about how he had actually sold the cue for a friend of his, and that the friend had skipped town. Basically, I am screwed and he has blocked my phone number and refuses to answer texts or Pm's....Buyers, beware PayPal as a gift. You have no protection whatsoever! Here is his phone number if anyone else would like to call and tell him to do the right thing, removed

Here is the url for the transaction. I should have known when he asked the mods to delete the thread.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am not a wealthy man, and I am out $600 here...

Dude that sucks. Even if his bullsh*t story is true it is his responsibility to make it right. Do you know his full name or email?

His full name is EDITED and the email that I have is
EDITED

Doesn't matter if he was selling for a friend or not...he listed the FS ad, and brokered the deal...that makes him legally liable. What a POS!!

you could have paid the paypal fee ( maybe $3) instead of the gift option and protected yourself

Yes, I agree. Big POS. I tried to be easy to get along with, but I had NO idea that I had no PayPal protection if I sent the money as a gift. I don't know how to even begin fraud charges either.

I would contact somebody who understands Paypal in these situations like Kevin Brewer.
There may be some way to recover the "gift" funds.
This really blows, JayTS should chime in and explain his situation, there is still time to work this out in a responsible fashion.

Start at your bank...some will do a charge-back of the funds to your account...but only after you provide them with a copy of a police report.

I promise I am not the bad guy here, or psychopath either, lol. Thanks for the support!

I gave him a nasty red rep as well... unfortunately it doesn't mean much. The moderators should be made aware of this so he doesn't pull this crap again.
