The following mail arrived at my pc based email today and I thought I just might post a "heads up" to others that might recieve something similar. I have no idea how they got this particular address as I have a web based address that I've set up specifically for contacts other than personal friends, and as far as I can remember, I've never used my pc address to register with online forums, nor do I use this address when making any kind of web transactions including cues.
Heads up.

Do you actually sell cues? If you do, it may be legit...maybe they bought a mailing list from one of your vendors. They aren't asking for money, so they may be alright. Did they give a phone #? I would call to see if it is a dummy company or not; hopefully, you wouldn't need a translator.

nothing comes to my email, either isp or web-based, that i don't expect, so all that junk gets filtered easily.

I'm not what you would call a dealer, but from time to time I buy cues and send them here to Japan for resale. Not a business but more or less a way to generate a little spending cash for table time and/or billiard toys. But as far as I can remember, I've never used my main mail address for any of these transactions.
Definately a data leak on somebodys part, but I just can't pin it down.

It is a scam!!!!! 100% I do receive these email all the time because I do own a small billiard co. They have a stolen credit card and want to by blah, blah, blah with a credit card and express shipping as soon as possible because the needed it yesterday. They try and get everything they can before the credit card is reported stolen, or the'll claim they never received the goods and get a reimbursement on their credit card and they take it from your account. Your stuck with no money and they have the cues because they already recieved them. That's why they want the priority shipping.
These email always seem to come from Singapore, Indonesia(sp) and or somewhere in Africa, like Nigeria!!!!!
