Just got back from the first day. Tony Robles beat Rafael Maritinez. Efren, Nick Varner, Alex Pagulayan, Rodney Morris, Mika, Scott Frost, Marcus Chamat, Santos Sambajon, Danny Harriman all won their matches mostly against local shorstops. Jimmy Wetch lost a thrilling hill game to Ernesto Dominguez. The Kaiser is here along with Buddy Hall, Ronnie Wiseman, Jose Parica and Johnny Archer. Great tournament.

Damn that short guy!

Chamat beat Mike Davis hill-hill...

Guess that Mike will be taking the long road this time...Sure was fun following his Reno path!!

Go Mike D!

I wuz there last night too.
Efren's match was funny. Efren got ball in hand on the 8 and did not get out. lol
He was way ahead when this happened though.
Alex Pagulayan' match was very entertaining too. He's a crowd pleaser.
Buddy Hall was on last night. He stole my stroke but that's ok. lol
He missed one ball on a two-way shot and left Danny Kuykendal hooked. Buddy ran out and out and out and out.
Charlie Williams btw is a class act. Real nice guy. Thank you Charlie.

I think Efren was feeling sorry for the guy. Efren is like that he wont beat you to the ground unless there is a chance he could lose and there was no chance last nite. He is a little imp though thrilling the audience with a lot of fun outs. He is still the best in my book. Buddy has a gift from god. That stroke is awesome. Ernesto played great too. If he didnt have his table covering business he could be another great. But as he is a wonderful family man his kids come first. A great role model.
Thanks Charlie & Co.!

I missed the Ernesto-Jimmy match. I can't believe how Ernesto was seeded this low. But, what do I know?
Ernesto's son Oscar almost made a miraculous comeback on Brunsetter down 1-6 one time and came back to make it 7-9 but missed the 9. Oscar's only 19 and has great future ahead of him.
My early picks for this tourney are Parica, Efren, Pagulayan and Morris in the top 4.

Sambajon beat Cincy shortstop Marty Rimlinger. Marty now gets to play Ismael Paez on the losers side. Tough draw I would say :D
