I have played with a couple of Big Jim's cues...the man knows how a cue should hit! He has not made many fancy cues at all (I was told 7 by a player in Fusco's room) so this one will be difficult to appraise. If you have a letter from Allen and it plays like Big Jim's other cues, it's gotta be worth more than 1K on the used market though. Looks like it is overdue for a refinish. Straight? A few years ago, Pete was selling a box cue that he and Jim turned out of the shop in Feasterville. I think he was asking $2500 at the time. I would put your cue somewhere between 1K and 2. Last I knew, Jim didn't do his own leather. Could the wrap be Barry? Good luck with it.
