Bill Hawkins carom cue

I bought this cue recently and according to the billiard players here it was made by Bill Hawkins because that was the joint style and wood he would have used. It hits like a cannon and goes through the ball like a hot knife through butter.

Is anyone here familiar with his cues? I'm looking to validate their stories, if that's possible.

Some billiard players are known to embellish. Just saying.
