Just interested in peoples views as to which cloths other than Simonis are suitable for playing tournys on?
 
I played on some Mali Worsted the other day. It's brand new so I don't know how it will act once it wears in. But I swear it played faster on a 9foot table then Simonis on an 8foot table.

And it is cheaper than Simonis
 
Yeah I am curious to how some of the cheaper cloths really compare to the more expensive brands
 
Some good choices are:

1.) Gorina Granito "Basalt" cloth
2.) Championship Tour Edition 3030

I'd stay away from non-worsted cloth because it will get fuzzy, play slower in a short period of time, results will not be as consistently reliable as worsted cloth, and it will not last as long as worsted cloth. Having said that, if you plan on playing on the IPT, then get slower non-worsted cloth because that's all they use.
