Billiard Encyclopedia 2nd or 3rd?

My wife insists on getting me a birthday present so I thought I would have buy me the Billiard Encyclopedia so it could grace our coffee table and make sure our guests know exactly what I like to do. Is there a tremendous difference between the 2nd and 3rd editions? Is one better than the other? Thanks for your input.

IMO, take the opportunity to get the latest 3rd edition. It is a massive update with over 350 new pages and like 500 new images. It's an amazing book! I have all of them and his 3rd is very impressive.

I also recommend the 3rd edition. Victor Stein told me this is the final edition for the Billiard Encyclopedia.
