First of all let me thank those that mentioned my name as well as my former partners Randy Goettlicher and John McChesney. What we did as a team, bringing organized 9-ball with a concrete set of rules to the masses was never before successfully accomplished by anyone in the history of the sport.
With that thought in mind, i would nominate James D. McDermott as the man who contributed more to the sport than any billiard related entity in the last 25 years. NO ONE, gave as much to this game as he and his family did, period.
I regret not being able to capture the Texas Express domain name when it lapsed, for that i will always be remorseful. But we are still alive and well and various versions of the rules are still available and in use today.
