Billiard/Pool related music...

Awesome! I've got a good list going on here!

Johnny Cash - (any song title here?)
Stevie Ray Vaugh - (Most everything I gather)
Bob Segar - "Turn the Page"
GWAR - "Pocket Pool"
AC/DC - "Shoot to Kill" & "Sink the Pink"
The Faces - "Pool Hall Richard"
Rod Stewert - "Maggie Mae"
John Lee Hooker - (most anything?)
Warren Zevon - "Warewolves of London" - COM
And the opening song in COM? anyone know who did this? Not near my DVD right now.

oh and mine Jonny Lang's - "Rack'em up"

That song with the funky baseline at the beginning of the Accu-Stats DVD's always gets me pumped up for some pool. :D Oh yeah, and that one at the end makes me feel like I just won a match. I think it's called "Triple Threat". LMAO. :D

Well, as far as I know, SRV only did Dirty Pool as a pool-related song, but certainly the entire catalog is appropriate for shooting pool! (Same with John Lee Hooker)

personally, I've compiled a cd full of songs that keep me focused...most of which came straight off the Poolhall Junkies soundtrack, some didn't but they definitely keep me in the "at war" frame of mind. So everything from Bill Withers to Pantera & Godsmack...I listen to it while I play in big matches....this way I don't hear everything that's being said, or my opponent trying to shark me...

Anyone listen to Classical while shooting? (Anyone seen the scene from Boondock Saints movie?)

"Dirty Pool" by Stevie Ray Vaughn, some clever lyrics within. Not sure if it was ever released as a studio track but he played at Montreux Jazz Festival in the early 80's. "Here's a little song I wrote myself". About 8 minutes of excellent blues. It's the infamous performance where he was booed loudy (but played his full set). Audience wasn't very bright.

Speaking of SRV, his Riviera Paradise did it for me. I could really get into the zone if that song was playing. Problem now is my hearing deteriorated to where I can't really enjoy the music anymore.

Bst

I can't believe the old guys missed this one.

Go Down Gamblin' by Blood, Sweat and Tears

Born a natural loser
I can't recall just where

Raised on pool and poker
and a dollar here and there

Blackjack hand, dealer man
you better pay off that last bet

Two bit hand of 21,
is all I ever get

Go down gamblin
Say it when your runnin' low

The Johnny Cash song was "The Baron and the Kid" which was also a made for TV movie.
