Looking to Change the seating in my room. I want to go with all high top chairs and high top tables. Interested in where you got your billiard seating and barstools. Which ones can take the abuse.

Actually there are a lot of choices these days. What is referred to as "pub height" dinning room furniture has caught on in popularity so you can find a pretty good selection at many furniture stores.

Yes there is a lot of choices but finding something that is going to hold up is another story. Finding good commericial equipment is turning out to a chore. I have 15 barstools that were purchased 25 yrs ago that are still going strong. besides recovering them every year there holding up great. Thats saying alot. They dont make things the same anymore

We have old barber shop waiting chairs in our room. I wish I could find more of them. They were $150 like 40 years ago (used) but they have held up well. Having 300 lb guys bounce up and down in them sure takes a toll over time. Finding ANYTHING made well these days costs a fortune or you have a welder make you some out of steel and make the cushions at an upholstery shop. I have seen very few quality chairs out there at less than $300 a pop.

Hey cue and cushion I looked at those chairs on your web page. Thats what I am talking about! Those look like there built to last! We have alot of 300 pounders also and its hell on the chairs.....

I really think the way to go now is to find a good welder or machine shop that is hurting for business. If you have them make one piece welded chairs you can attach plywood seats with padding and reupholster them yourself. If you could make them that way for 300-400 I think it would be a good investment.
