Last winter I started Billiards Drills. Then spring came and my first love - golf - took over. My posts on Billiards Drills (and here, and everywhere else pool-related) died off. It's winter again and while I've begun playing pool again, I don't quite have the time to post frequently.
So, I'm looking to sell (rather inexpensively) the billiardsdrills.com domain name and all the content (graphics, articles) on it. There are a a few unpublished drills, too.
The premise of the site is pretty straightforward - provide for free some drills, games, etc. to help people practice and improve at pool. In the three months last year during which I actively tried to sell ads, I sold $1000 worth. I've left those same ads on the site since well after the agreements would have expired, so I imagine Royce is VERY happy with the exposure his OB-1 ad got!
At any rate, that's how someone could make money on the site - ads. I have no firm asking price - I'd rather sell the site for less to someone who I know will take care of it and continue to post quality content than to maximize my "profits." Really, I'm just looking to buy a little pool equipment with the proceeds.
If you're interested in running the site - even as a little hobby to help pay some of your pool expenses - I think we could work out a reasonable price. The software currently powering the site is MovableType, so you need a server capable of running MovableType 3.x. I'd transfer the domain and the necessary database content to you and help you set it up, then it'd be all yours.
If you're interested, send me an offer along with your thoughts on the site. Again, I'm more interested in finding someone to take care of it than to sell it for the most I can.
