Billiards IPHONE App coming soon to the Apple Store.

Wanted to announce, we are releasing a iphone/iTouch app to the apple app store with in a few months. " Billiards 101". We are taking comments and suggestions at www.finnbogg.com there you can view a prototype demo of what the app will offer. ( again its a prototype demo.) We are still working on graphics and such. We want to provide the user with a useful tool.

It will provide:

1. Various practice drills right in the palm of your hands. " no more printing our paperwork and bringing along books to the pool halls with you.

2. Listing of Instructors in your area. " Including a link to the " Instructor Search page at the Billiard Congress of America site.

3. Also links to many other well known sites and providers to the sport.

This app will continue to be updated with features and listings. And we hope to expand its use to cross platform devices such as Blackberry, Android, and the newly released iPad.

Again feel free to stop by our site and place questions, comments, and suggestions.

WOW... Im getting a lot of feedback and some great suggestions. We are so close to release we don't want to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch. Billiards 101 will provide some visual aid diagrams of some very useful practice drills. It will also provide a way for users to find instructors in their local area. Along with links to the many of the most popular sites that support the game.

With all the feedback and suggestions that have come in. We already have plans to dive deeper into the programming and the technology of the iphone and hope to release another app in the future with all the bells and whistles that will tickle any pool players fancy.

Keep the suggestions coming, and please spread the word. Feel free to drop us a line at http://www.finnbogg.com . There you will find a demo of the app. We hope that Billiards 101 and our future apps can be useful tools to all pool players of every caliber.

a playing journal that allows you to record tournament and gambling matches. knowing who you played, what the score was and how things ended up is something I do on pen and paper already. Adding in the ability to create table scenarios to archive critical shots made/missed would be the nuts. A way to track mistakes made (kicking errors, position errors, shot making errors etc) would also be helpful. A player could reference them and maybe graph them to see where they need improvement the most. Knowing history and having data to study on what you did right and wrong is a powerful tool to improve.
