What games belong to each category. I remember Efren saying about being good in pool, snooker and billiards. That's actually how he considers a player to be called an all-around player.

Actually it's ALL billiards. You have pocket billiard games, and you have carom billiard games. Snooker (and games played on a snooker table...like golf) would, I believe, fall under pocket billiards, although it is pretty much it's own game, because of the distinctive differences in the table, rails and balls.

My guess would be that by "billiards," Efren meant carom billiards. I have often heard "billiards" used to refer to carom billiards, the same way "pool" is used to refer to non-snooker pocket billiards. Actually, I just found an interview with him on AZ, where he distinguishes "pocket billiards" from "billiards," so i think it is pretty clear that by "billiards," he means carom. I believe he was so dominant at carom billiards in the Philippines that no one would play him anymore.
