I can give you a little info, though I admit I really should have more. The Elks lodge is a good, solid 7 iron from our poolroom and I'm sad to say I haven't made it up there yet. This is the big one-the 50th anniversary tournament-and it's shaping up to be a great event. There are 60 players from all over the globe. I put a tip on yesterday for Hans (can't remember his last name:embarrassed2from Holland, and I think Diab is here from Egypt (he comes most every year). Robert Byrne is here, as is Tom Rossman (Dr. Cue), and although his is an 'artistic billiard' guy, he plays some pretty sporty 3-cushion as well. I was working on a cue for a guy today who had just played him and he said Tom ran an 8 and two 5s on him today. Tom Rossman is doing an exhibition tonight at the Elks lodge, and one at Rackem Billiards on Sunday. Mazin Shooni didn't make it this year (working on opening a room, I'm told). I've done tons of cue work for the players as many of them save their stuff for me to do while they are here, but I'll make it up there for sure tomorrow, and post some results and pics in this thread. The finals are on Saturday.
