Nice to see Billy Palmer back on the tournament trail at the Hard Times Sacramento monthly one pocket tournament yesterday, after some health problems a few weeks ago. Maybe not 100% yet, but playing well enough to knock me out late in the tournament and split 1st/2nd with Baby Frank (winner of the hot seat) because the finals wouldn't have started until after midnight.
Ronnie Allen also showed up, but we got our heads together and picked some horses and sent him to the satellite wagering in Sacramento. I almost won enough in the tournament to cover the horse bets. Some day they will run like they are supposed to and we will recoup our losses. John
