Billyards' Cue "Collection"

I was asked to post photos of my BB, so I figured I would just show everyone the 4 cues I currently have. I have omitted my road cue, as it needs to remain "unknown"! :D

Here is a shot of the butts... The cues on the left and right are both Showcase cues. The left one was my first cue and was just left at the pool hall in which I worked, so I picked it up and refinished it myself. I had Scot S. redo the finish and wrap last year. The sneaky Showcase has an outstanding hit and is a great cue for rough-and-tumble nights at the bar. It still has the varnish I put on it back in 1990 or so. It has tons of chalk rubbed right into the finish, so it really looks like a bar cue.

The Richard Black is called the Kiss Kue and was once owned by Helmstetter, who donated it to a charity raffle. The woman who won the cue sold it to me at a great price back in 1997. The snakewood is bordered by silver.

My Black Boar is in original condition and you can see that it is truly in new condition. It has an extremely solid hit and the cue and I have great chemistry, though we have stopped sleeping together.

Forearms

Here are the forearms of the cues...

I used to have a larger collection, but got in trouble with the wife after buying a $5k Richard Black cue for $2200 off of Ebay. I had to work a couple of deals to escape with the BB and some cash to appease the spouse.

She doesn't get it, and I am not pushing for any new additions, but I have a Hercek and two Southwest cues on order. My Southwest order is... 4 years old now... so I am halfway there! Any design suggestions would be appreciated. Money is no object.

Wonder who that coulda been.......... ;)

Nice looking cue, sir. When you kick it out of the house permanently, be sure to remember I provide great foster care.......

Now, Now Mark...
You have to know the history of the cue before you take it away.
When it was up for sale, I passed on the cue so BY's could get it being that he wanted it so much but always with the hope I can provide her a home in the event some thing came up.
I do like that cue probably as much as you do...

Very nice looking cues and of course the BB is a real eye catcher.

I have to say that I like the BB the best as well. Nice looking collection........

My collection looks puny compared to the monster collections recently posted. "Someday I will get my Szamboti..." I keep repeating while clicking the heels of my ruby slippers together....

If you only had a brain! :D
I gave up on the Szamboti search and now working on others.

I'm starting to think that I'm going to do the same, Myron. I believe I will try to find a nice Bender for my stable. Yours motivated me to dig deep!!

Can't say that I ever stood a chance for a Szamboti....so I'll aim a little lower, and hope to find a Bender cue for me that'll look as nice as yours.

Of course....there will ALWAYS be room for Johns AS-8, though!!! :) :) :)
