It gets a little tiresome to hear the "personal" stuff that goes back and forth between a few of those on this site. I have hit thousands of balls with at least 200>300 different cues over the last 30 years, and MANY cues hit the balls just fine. Back in the 60's and 70's there were not many cue makers out there and those of us who "supported" those new cuemakers have the satisfaction of getting in on the process of learning how different cues feel.

The old saying about "you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your princess" is a very appropriate statment about finding a good cue.
The equipment is top quality now and the grading and the ways of seasoning the wood just gets better, in addition to the skills of the machinists. Most cuemakers do their best to turn out the best quality that their skills allow.

I like ALL the new and old styles of the fancy ivory/silver/gold/ plastic/ metal inlaid cues!!!! If you like the feel of the cue...BUY IT!!
If you happen to buy a cue that you play with for awhile and then learn to dislike...SELL IT>.. there is always someone out there who may like the one you got tired of...
...and then buy that new cue from one of those new cuemakers or from one of those "old timers"...like BLUD???? (yuk, yuk)
...
my two cents...

...note...I play with two very old Kersenbrocks...

And if'n y'all ever wants ta be gettin' rid 'o one of them there curseinblocks give this here ole country boy a shout now, ya heah. :D

Dave made one for me with my specs in 1976 ...the specs were a duplicate of my old "Martin" ....(I sold billiard supplies out of Daves shop back in the 70's when Jerry F. and Paul worked with him) and the other one is supposed to be one that he made for Mataya about a year earlier that I picked up about 1985.
I also keep at a couple of friends houses, when I travel... two Southwests from the old days (middle 80's).

note***...to those it may concern...
Dave's last name is spelled "KERSENBROCK"
