Bitter sweet day in the making

I can't decide but i'm leaning more towards a win.
I want Shane to win because I feel he deserves it BUT, at the same time I'm not sure if I want him to win because I don't want all the comment wars about him not winning although placing in the top 4 of an international tourney.
The more I think about it the more I feel that I want him to win cause the comments are going to be less than if he loses.

There will be stupid comments on either side regardless of what happens.

He is definitely the man to beat right now, and it will be nice to see him finally get a world title (if he goes on to win it), having had such sustained success in other tournaments in recent years.

when it's your time it's your time. He's been knocking at this door for a while now and it looks like he's about to SWAT that shit outta that door.

Well i was worried, anything less than what happened to the younger brother or dennis would not satisfy the mob. Experts from from around (mostly america i think) the globe will look at everything and say he choked on the grand stage, even after putting on the performance that he did.
You're left here now feeling bad for a man who has climbed Everest but made camp 50' from the summit, not because he quit or failed to go the extra 50' but because there was no room.

It's heart breaking that one could feel so sad for a man who has accomplished so much, you almost don't envy being in this mans shoes. Because of this i fear that this loss could affect his next few events.

Here's something that crossed my mind earlier. What happens if they meet in the U.S. Open? If Shane wins, people start making excuses about him being on American soil and blah blah blah, basically making it a hollow victory. If he loses, the curse of Ko continues.

this poor guy is in a horrible place. This is the type of things that make people snap, go into depression, who knows. We could very well find ourselves talking on his in the past tense due to a melt down. I truly hope not, I hope his life is too busy for this stuff to bother him for very long, but at the ceremony i could see the glaze look in his eyes.
