it is sad, but this has been and probably always will be what keeps pool from growing and becoming a major sport in the public's eyes. It happens in tournaments just as much as in the action rooms.

We have a winner. I would love to back someone playing pool, but the guys I trust are not good enough to back and the ones that I think have serious talent, have no morals at all. Why risk it?
doing business is flat out wrong!!!! you don't dump someone who is investing in you. it's nice to have the financial support if you need it, why screw that arrangement up?
does it happen? of course, as long as people are trying to make a living playing pool for a living it will continue, they get desperate and will do desperate things to make money. still wrong though and will bite them in the butt at some point.
I don't get staked hardly ever by my choice, but I would never ever do business!!! I can proudly say that, but I always have worked too.
