BK2 ferrule

what do I use to clean bk2 ferrule? Thanks I heard some things melt them>

The BK2 ferrule should be a good grade of LBM.
The Maxlite & Titan ferrules used on the play shafts are the ones that don't like solvents.
If you're going to clean an LBM ferrule, it should be sealed when you're done.
Otherwise, the newly exposed linen fibers will quickly attract chalk
and your cleaning of the ferrule will have been for naught.

thanks kj but can you use solvents on the bk2?

If the factory-sealed ferrule has been sanded, there may be exposed linen fibres.
These will attract chalk and hold it. A solvent may or may not remove it all.
A very light sanding may be necessary but be mindful that you will be removing mtrl.
Again, the ferrule will need re-sealing once you're done cleaning.
