Has anyone used black and white figured ebony in cue making. More interested in butt sleeves of them, not so much on points.

Does it tend to crack? Is it dense or does it tend to fall apart?

This is a pic of kind of what I'm talking about

That's a nice looking piece. I've used it but I always core my exotics. The black and white doesn't weigh as much as Gabon nor Macasser ebony. I've not had any trouble as far as falling apart nor cracking as long as it is sufficiently dry.

Thanks for the input I think it would look pretty old as a butt sleeve but I'm hesitant on it cracking splitting or anything else

The black lines are harder. You may feel them 'raised' after the cue has settled for a bit.
