Hello,

I know these posts come and go and they are hard to get hold of. BUT does anyone have a ferrule-less BB shaft for sale or a Searing to fit a BB?

I have a brand new ferruless BB shaft with a .022 silver ring. Bob #301-351-5178.

Thank you for everyone's PM's so far.

I am looking ideally for a ferrule-less shaft to fit the old 4 pointer style with aluminium ring and between 12.5 - 13mm with the compression fit and everything straight.

Yours is not nickel silver it is .030 aluminum. None of my old 4-pointers ever had a compression fit. You have to have Tony make you a new one and supply him your butt like i did to get that. g.l.

Thanks Bob, I have updated it.

The older ones should still have the compression fit, I have owned 3 and they all had it for both shafts.I had the compression wear down on one shaft and spoke to Tony last year and he said that over time they can wear down and once gone cannot be brought back so they may have worn down over the years. It is the black film around the joint in the picture that causes the compression in the older cues. I played with a new BB recently and he seems to use a different technique now. He is also able to do the shafts within a thousand of an inch (his words) without needing the butt. Because I live overseas I didn't want to risk shipping the butt to the US with the ivory the last time he made one for me and the shaft he sent was spot on. He is definitley a master craftsman.
