Black Coral...

Back in 1979 I was diving in Barbados and brought up some black coral from 155 ft. I still have some and was wondering if any cuemaker would be interested in purchasing it. Still has the crud from the ocean on it but it polishes up like a mirror. It is totally legal as I got it way back when.

The pieces I'd be interested are at least 3/4" x 3/4" x 5". I can see they're long enough, I can't tell on the width or thickness.

If these fit the bill, what price would you be needing to get?

Doesn't look like the pieces get past 1/2". I'm looking to dump the entire batch for a reasonable price. It's been hanging around since 79 so I'd just like to see it go to good use.

The coral I've seen is kidstuff compared to that.
I bet it would show real nice under a cue's finish , would you tell a little about it.
How does it cut? Are the branches solid? I can't imagine it weighs much , nice haul

Not much to tell. It was a huge tree of coral when I harvested it in Barbados. I had several pieces made for my wife and friends years ago. I've never worked with it personally but I can tell you that it is a bit hard and can polish up to a high gloss. All pieces are solid.
