Ever played on a Black Crown table? are they any good? there made in Canada I think

Played on them lots... They are a good table with tight playing pockets. Down side is the raised plastic pockets and metal counter. They are like the older gold crown table.

Looks like they might have changed the pockets to set level with rail... not sure. I think they run around $4000 CDN

That said, I agree that they play nicely and would buy one if I had $4000 or a place to put it.
I think a room is closing in Ontario with some 4 sale. I think it was 2200 each. I bought 7 for 3500$ 4 years ago.

they both have raised pockets
the brass trim and corners on the b.c. are nicer looking than the chrome on the B-wick I think.

I played on 9 or so and some at the Canadians... I found they played very close to the diamonds at Turning stone. You had to hit the pocket down the rail or it wasn't dropping. They have 4 3/4 pocket and cut to make them play tight.
Maybe the table you played got changed. I have witnessed many say they play tight. If these tabes did have big pockets they would play really easy cause they roll nice.
