I think he means Black and white ebony the wood. It is a beautiful wood from Laos I believe. Ive seen pieces and they are heavily figured. It is quite a beautiful wood.

and yes i do mean the wood wlack & white ebony.i just got a piece 1 3/8" sq. x 37" long. i got a cue im mind to build, but seing other will help me alot.thanks Jeff
I love that type ebony aswell...I don't think it's stable enough for forearms but maybe cored it could work...I don't recall ever seeing it in a cue though...
here are a couple Josey's i've shown before. the pictures are out of focus and do not show the delicate inlay work nor how nice these cues really are. they have to be seen to really apreciate his workmanship.
