Hi, just wanted to help a little on the Hill sale. this cue was completely made by me . just so everyone knows you can not by a sneaky full splice blank with cocobolo in the nose so its rare. great cue great price.

Cracked ferrule

This cue, in a previous stated thread, said it had a cracked ferrule, in one of the shafts. Has that been rectified, or is it still there?

Actually it said there was a very small line that was slightly darker than the rest of the shaft stemming from the bottom of the ferrule.
Marco, the seller you're talking about, said he didn't know if it was a crack or a scratch. I've looked at it through a loupe, appears to be a scratch to me. Both shafts play similarly and have same sound/feel. Either way, the "area of concern" hasn't gotten any larger with play according to Marco and I'll confirm that. I've played with the shaft and there's been no change in the size of the mark... Let me know if you have any other questions.

BTW, I dyed the bullhide wrap on the unity cue with a dark "mahogany raisin" colored leather dye. LOOKS MUCH BETTER WITH THE DARKER WRAP! I'll get some pics of it up soon!
