is that a G10 ferrule/tip? i heard they break just as good or better then phenolicis.

This is about all I know about these hard ferrules. These are posts from other AZers about the Blackcreek J/B I offered a couple weeks back.
I've decided to keep the cue but am not interested in using the second shaft which has one of these G-10 ferrule/tip combos. Any one who might want it, send me a PM. It's in like new condition and I'll let you have it for $75. Black collar with a single silver ring. Thanks, David
