I think the ring added a nice touch to the cue. Why don't you like it?

Its not that I don't like it, but once you split a titlist at the wrap, you essentially have a short splice cue. So it doesn't have the one piece titlist allure, or the full splice assembly anymore.

I totally agree with that. I don't believe this cue had the diameter towards the joint to allow for the full splice conversion.

yeah Joe got my sentiments right, the bushka ring would have meant the cue is no longer fullsplice. hence would have been a no no in opinion of purists like me. but anyway its a nice looking conversion.
