i agree. i used to play in a very big 8-ball tournament in new york called the chances 8-ball calcutta classic. all the best bar players in all of new york, would enter. although i would win my share, for a while there, i found myself, getting too excited, about what a great tournament it was, and thus i played like crap. i wrote a private e-mail to blackjack. he responded with some amazing advice. he said, take one ball at a time. it sounds like your over excited, and your getting ahead of yourself. count the steps you take around the table. stay in the moment. well, in january of 2002, they had the biggest most skilled 8-ball field ever assembeled in new york. 21 players double elimination $2,200 purse. i won. you better believe i thanked him! to this day, it is still the biggest tournament i ever won, n terms of the best players, and highest payout. hope blackjack is well.
