I just got this response from a letter I wrote to Martyne regarding the Blue Book.

Eydie

Hi, Eydie,

The 3rd Edition is still in production. Trying to get
it out by December, but it may be March. Wish we could
have had it ready for the Expo. You can tell anyone
who's interested that they can check the "Blue Book"
page on Chalkers.com for periodic updates and ordering
info.

All the best,

Martyne S. Bachmen

Except for the fun of looking at pictures, it makes the book of little use. When the book is finally out, (If it ever is), it will consist of information that was compiled three years ago or more and is getting older by the day. New cuemakers are on the seen, cuemakers have made changes in their cues, different joints or options, or they may even have quit or died. Values will have certainly changed on some cues, especially new cuemakers whose cues are becoming popular. As a reference book it's value will be minimal. I would rather see them put out a simple book on an annual bases that is not such a work of art, but good solid up to date information. When someone over completes a project, as they have done, or makes it such an ambitious undertaking they can never get it done, it can become worthless. Just my opinion. My guess, the book will never come out.
