Blue Book via Overstock.Com

I was just told via online chat support that the Blue Book 3rd edition became available to be shipped yesterday from Overstock.Com and we should expect it in 1-4 business days from then.

Just a FYI for those that ordered it like myself.

Did you hear this from a representative from Overstock or from whom. I have mine ordered through Ostock and was thinking of cancelling and ordering through Blue Book or Borders. My friend already received his from Border's.

I can't even find it on their site now!

Ovstock.com has never gotten their books. Had 4 ordered from them and one from Brad. I have none. Yeah, pool is really going to get legimate! We must first PURGE the Thieves[most who claim to be HOLY] on this website and in pool. I will see most of you hypocrites in Hell, and guess what, I'm sure I will be in Management! JoeB

I ordered from overstock and from Brad ... got both. Brad's book arrived about a week later. Overstock arrived over a week ago.
 
After reading this thread I decided to check the status of my order. It said that it was canceled and the money refunded. I decided to do the live chat to find out what was going on. The person first mis-represented the situation to me by telling me that the book was "out of stock". When I asked how could a pre-order be "out of stock" when I placed the order before any stock was obtained he avoided my question and it wasn't until three more times asking the question that he finally was honest and said that my order had been canceled due to "technical issues" and that the books are now out of stock.

Needless to say, I am not very happy about being lied to and doubt very seriously that I will ever do business again with Overstock.com, even if they gave me a $5 store credit *woohoo!
 
If its any compensation guys...I STILL don't have mine either.

Got mine yesterday. I bought from Blue Book through Ebay. I did not have too much time to read it, as I have been trying to track down my Black Boar, which is still in UPS' massive inflexible grinding system.

I will say that I was shocked at the cues selected for the color pages. I thought that many of the cues were not the best examples from the cuemakers. I also was sad that they neglected to show any Black Boar cues, but included others that are production cues. I think some guys in the industry right now have a case of red-ass for Black Boar. Not sure why, but it might be the Japan sell-out issue.

I ended up going to bed feeling like I never wanted to see another cue after looking at the color section. It just left a bad taste in my mouth for some reason. I will post again regarding the book after I have read it cover to cover. But right now, I am a bit let down.
 
Mine is "cancelled and credited" as well. Checking my credit card account, I see that it was credited on 11/27/2005. The annoying thing, other than the cancellation is that they never sent me an email, so had it not been for this thread it could have been another few weeks before I logged in to check on the status.

I totally agree with you on Overstock. Same thing happened to me, yet I still have not received my money back. They are trying to give me a "store credit" to be used towards my next purchase. There will be no next purchase as I was very disappointed at how this was handled. Anyhow I have placed my order through Borders Books and hope to have it by Saturday, at least according to Borders
