Blue diamond chalk

Does anybody know who makes blue diamond chalk for Longoni. It says it is made in USA on the box (they come two to a box and cost $ 4 - that's $ 2 a piece of chalk ! ) Now this is great chalk, but the price is a little steep
The chalk comes 'wrapped' in black paper with a red band at the top and has blue diamond world written on the side, the only other clue is world chalk written on the box (holding two pieces). It applies VERY smoothly and stays on. I find it hard to believe that the factory that makes it only makes this formula for Longoni. The only chalks that get rated in the polls seem to be Master, Silver cup and triangle and I'm fairly certain it isn't one of theirs simply repackaged, the only other two chalks which get rare mentions but I haven't tried are Brunswick and Balabushka.

Can´t help with the manufacturer, but 2$ does sound about right. Over here in europe they are about 2€ each so. Just don´t lose it! A friend of mine uses it, I´ve tried it and it isn´t rebadged triangle or something as you mentioned.

How do you rate it, you say your friend uses it - do you think he's mad to be paying that much for chalk when 95% of pool halls (over here that is) have blue masters for free as the house chalk.

It´s decent chalk, in my opinion Triangle or Master is just as good or maybe slightly better, but this is a difficult subject. I use triangle and master because I get (steal) them for free. I wouldn´t call it a waste of money though. As with most of these things, tips and chalk and stuff, you really have to try for yourself to see if you like it.

I bought a box of balabushka and its pretty good. One of the sellers on ebay said that they arent making it anymore and one of his auctions for the chalk was going for over 20 dollars. So just as a note if you want to try it, id get a box asap. I still have 5 cubes of it left. Balabushka also goes on very smooth and stays on as well. Doesnt seem to go onto real hard tips well though. Seems like its very fine.

As for blue diamond, ive never tried it but i wouldnt pay 2 dollars a cube unless it made me run multiply racks consistantly.
