I purchased Blue Diamond chalks on the assumption that it was made by the same manufacturer of the Blue Diamond Tip, which I used for several years. It is just now that I read that the chalk was made by another manufacturer. Did Brunswick (makers of the BD Tip) complained against this ?

This. I use a Ki-Tech with Triangle blue... works for me. Don't really care if it works for anyone else.
You do not need to use "matching" tip and chalk :smile:
As for the chalk I'm not aware of any naming problems here and the magic Internet does not list anything here either.
You already have one of the "best" chalks so just have fun with it! Chalking every 3-7 shots is sufficient - ain't that great?
