will be nice for pic to computer purposes!

That's cool and all, but not all eletronic distribution systems allow you to grab the images from them. If they have any sense they will use some kind of copy-protected system or it will be all over the file-sharing networks in a week.

It doesn't matter what they do, if they put it out on CD, it will be copied.

PrtScr, paint, Ctrl+V; for images
For the whole CD. No way to stop the competent, yet unscrupulous, file-sharers.

i imagine same time as the book!

ditto on the copying
if it will display - it will copy

There are ways and means to make it hard for people to copy, even if you cannot make it impossible. PrntScrn can be disabled, for instance by video players that use an alpha channel to display on the desktop. (Take a PrntScrn with a DVD playing and you'll see what I mean.)

Most people don't bother doing this for static images and photos, but they could also add an transparent watermark overlay on the photos for the electronic version only.

Nice movie choice :-)

Many video cards that have video acceleration would just show a black box when Print Screen is used, but as you say if you are motivated you can disable it to grab screens, or use a DVD player that actually includes this feature, like the retail version of PowerDVD.

But again, in content security if you can't make it impossible at the least you should try and make it inconvenient.

CloneCD .....RAR it up and put it on the newsgroups.

Everyone now has a copy........

This can happen within a half hour (depending on the person's upload speed) of getting it in the mail.
