For sale is a hard to find Bob Frey Macassar Ebony full splice cue completely created by Bob Frey himself. Macassar ebony has appearance qualities more complex than jet black ebony and it is considered by many to be one of the best woods to use as a base for a full splice cue- one session playing with this cue and you will immediately know why this is the case. Bob Frey is considered the " Godfather" of the SP/ Fancy SP cue world. His own creations and those with the TS logo are very highly valued.
The cue is in superb condition- full original finish, nice original full shaft with original triangle tip- very little use on this cue and no abuse for sure. Some may call this cue a full splice Hoppe cue and some may call it a fancy Sneaky Pete. The highly figured Macassar Ebony butt is spliced into a straight maple forearm. The cue is fitted with a rear cue extension bumper and includes a 12 inch CF extension and joint protectors. One of my best five playing cues out of hundreds owned!
Butt: 15.6 ounces. 3/8 10 Pin. White Hoppe Ring. 12 inch CF rear extension, full finish on cue butt. Ebony points are even around the cue. Cue butt is very clean- photos may show reflections- please ignore.
Shaft: original, 3.8 ounces, original Triangle tip, 12.8 MM and 12 inch pro taper, smooth
