F.Y.I.: Bob Frey used to make cues with Tim Scruggs. I ordered this cue to see how it compares to my Scruggs sneaky pete. Both have 5/16 x 14 piloted pins and weigh 19.0 oz.

The Frey is a little smaller at the grip, but this makes it feel better balanced! I highly recommend Frey Cues. If you like Scruggs, you won't be disappointed!

BTW: What do you think about the quality of my digi-cam? Nice close-ups, eh?

Tim sends all of his sneaky pete requests Bob Fryes way. Frye did work for Scruggs and makes an excellent Sneaky Pete. I've heard that the Sneaky Petes you play with that have the Scruggs insignia were probably made by Bob when he worked in Tim's shop. Both are excellent cue makers. Honestly though, you can probably get more for your money with Bob.
