Boiled linseed oil and Kielwood

So just curious as I’ve never tried it before. So because kielwood is kiln dried and moisture has been removed, wouldn’t adding boiled linseed oil to it to darken the color have some affect on the structure or the torrefication since it adds moisture back in to the shaft? Is there another method that’s suggested to help darken the wood other than roasting more? Can anything be added to it?

My question is are you planning to soak it in a barrel of linseed oil for a month..... Wipe some on it and dry it off .... Probably be alright

Just didn’t know so figured better to ask. Never dealt with Kielwood and with it being torrefied but thought moisture could change that
