This might have already been discussed but I don't feel like reading through all the pages of BB material.

Did the players have input into the creation of the game Bonus Ball?

Are the players promoting Bonus Ball on their websites and social media outlets?

Are they easing the mind of the viewing public and customers that everything will be worked out for the better?

IMO the players must be promoting and convincing the public that Bonus Ball is a great concept whether they like it or not. Its called acting and if they have to read of cue cards than so be it. In fact they should be on this website providing support for the promoters and all the people who have worked on BB. I think that would go a long way for the greater good of BB.

From what I recall reading, the game has been around for a while now, but the pro's have been involved in refining the rules and gameplay to what you see now.

I don't know @ all the players RE: promoting. I am "friends" with Putnam and Appleton, and they post regularly @ the game and their enthusiasm for it.

I'm confident they have, and continue to have a lot of input into the game. Johnny has been instrumental in this venture.

Easing the viewers' minds... Darren has to an extent addressed it.

Your overall point is well taken. I don't know that the majority of BB players are strong/savvy enough in social media to reach the thousands and thousands that could move the needle.

Maybe Chiborak could add that stipulation into the BB Agreements - reach 20,000 people a month or we'll take your jersey from you, and replace it with a pink one until you get 20,000 likes, lol. ;)

Too funny

But, a team is a team and they should all wear the same jersey. I vote for pink tutu's instead :)

Larry created it, there have been changes along the way-per the players request and seeing some flaws. IMO its still too complex.

I dont know about social media, I do know many of the players and as of now yeah they are pitching it. and Praying it works.

Not that complicated once you play it some

I had one of the pros at my house for a visit last year and we played some bonus ball... my first exposure. While he was here I had some friends over and we all played... Lots of laughs, really enjoyed the scoreboard available on their web site, (there is a flat screen on the wall in my home pool room hooked up to a Mac mini so it is right there), it adds a lot to the fun and keeps track of who is shooting what, the time and the scoring.

Once you play a few games it becomes pretty natural to play the purple, orange, black rotation but without the scoreboard I can see where it would take a bit of attention. Then again, I have been know to shoot rotation out of order, the wrong pocket in one pocket and my opponent's suit in 8 ball so I'm pretty simple minded after a couple of beers.

What I thought was interesting was the interaction of the non-players. Unlike other games where people that are sitting out when it is not their turn and just watching, there was a lot of interaction and everyone was connected and having a good time. The shot clock and the game clock keep things moving and takes out the slow play torture potential.

The overall concept may or may not work, only time will tell but from my experience it is a fun diversion that has its place and time and is additive to my overall pool enjoyment. It is by no means a replacement for 9 ball, 10 ball, one pocket, straight pool or 8 ball. Just another fun game around a pool table with friends.

It is all good to me
