Bonus Ball???

I've only recently seen what Bonus Ball is and while it was interesting I could see why it was doomed to fail. I have to ask though, what were some of the good concepts that it brought to the table? Cause the only thing IMO from what I've seen is the idea of a time clock in place along with a shot clock.

Did people enjoy the teams being limited to only three pockets? the mix of different games?

Jerseys. That was their big contribution.

Just watched a Minnesota match other day . Could not finished whole match
Silly game , too many rules. Only worth watching the Bonus Ball ring gals
I hear that even the poor gals were not paid - that is an injustice of the highest order:wink:

I'm thinking they got paid - $ 50 dollars at a time, it was in Vegas correct?

I liked the mix of games and the mosconi style format.

The rules were not anymore difficult then the mirad of ways to play 8 ball. Trying to tell a banger the rules to eightball is terrible. Well if you play bca rules.. if you play vnea rules...if you use apa rules... wpa... last pocket... ballin kitchen if..... ball in hand if.... etc, etc

Shot clock and game clock for pros with a ref is good too.

Trying to sell all of this to the unwashed masses, impossible.

The time clock was OK, but the 'home team' concept was the best!..A big expensive facility in Vegas, was the worst idea of all!..There is just way too many other things to do in Vegas!..Plus, how many people would want to, (or could afford the trip) just to spectate?

Any big city had rooms that could have hosted the event, and they would have been well attended by the locals, cheering on their team!..Or a local civic hall rental with bleachers, and a nominal admittance charge, would have made much more sense, financially!

PS..The '3 pocket rule' was never a good idea!..It just added to the confusion!..As did the totally unnecessary expense, of a dedicated set of balls! :frown:
