Just started playing again, and am looking to freshen up on some things. Does anyone know of any good books to look over? I already have the 99 critical shots of pool.

Robert Byrne's Standard Book of Pool and Billiards.

And not exactly pool related, but i'd recommend the inner game of tennis.

Mark Wilson's Book

Play Great Pool by Mark Wilson is a great book and I highly recommend for either a beginner or advanced player.

Any of Phil Capelle's books are good. Also, "Pleasure of Small Motions" is real good for pre shot routine and the mental game. The "8ball Bible" is good too, it just depends on what games you like to play.

I think a picture is worth a thousand words or in this case video. There is so much on youtube that it would be hard for most any book to really compare. We live in a different time. I wish I had all this when I was growing up. I used to get in my car and drive hundreds of miles just to see a pro play in person and hopefully pick up a tip or two. Now you just turn on the computer.
